Nissan
redefined the crossover SUV with the launch of the stylish Nissan Murano in 2005, and the new 2008 edition – available in
its showrooms across the region – builds on the high standards set by its predecessors.
The
Nissan Murano 08 year model oozes style, power, and
sleekness. The exterior alone shows why the vehicle was known as 'Sculpture
in Motion', inspired by the elegantly-crafted glass art of the same name that
comes from the Adriatic islands near “The

in the The
2008 edition remains with a strong impression of style, adding LED RR
combination lamps, polished chrome roof rails and side sills. Together with
the wraparound surface, architectural front grille, sporty, upswept D-pillar
and rounded rear cargo door it presents an elegant package that does not
detract from the very evident muscle below the beltline. Nissan
now offers its intelligent key as an optional feature in the Nissan Murano 08 model. The convenient intelligent key converse
with the Nissan Murano’s locking system as the
driver approaches the vehicle. With just a touch of the button on the door
handle, the door unlocks. And once inside, you can start up the engine
without placing the key in the ignition. Other features include a Bose
digital audio system, cruise control, dual zone air-conditioning, power- adjustable
foot pedals and 12v DC power outlet. The
power source is Nissan’s award-winning VQ engine, a 3.5 litre
V6 that produces 266hp at 6,000 rpm and 36.2 kg-m/3600 rpm of torque. This is
the only engine to feature in Ward's Auto World '10 Best' list every year
since the awards were introduced. It’s
equipped with the most advanced Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with
six-speed manual mode and coupled to an all-auto 4WD, allowing the driver to
enjoy linear smooth acceleration, lower fuel consumption and power without
any shift shock. Chic
color coordination, an intelligently-designed instrument panel, a multi-purpose
information centre and a chrome shift knob cover further enhance the interior
finish. Nissan Murano also features an extensive
use of real aluminum, which is incorporated into the door trim. The
Bose comes with an in-dash 6-CD changer and provides 225 watts of output plus
five channels of customized equalization and signal processing, producing
sound quality to rival many home systems. The
rear seats fold down to create spacious cargo area, underlining the
versatility of the Nissan Murano as an elegant city
car or a practical workhorse, with four wheel independent suspension giving a
smooth and car-like ride under all driving conditions. Standard
safety features include dual stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt
sensors; front -seat side impact supplemental air bags and front and rear
curtain side impact supplemental air bags. In
brief, the new Nissan Murano maintains the
distinctiveness of its predecessors, with added features that further set it
apart from its competitors. |
